Roller Shutter Service Engineer

Tate Security are based in the northwest but operating nationwide, is a leading provider in the Stadia and MOJ Prison sectors. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer with an electrical background to join our team. The role will involve service, maintenance and repair of

The role involves the installation, servicing, repair, and fault diagnosis of industrial doors and related products, including:

  • – Industrial sectional overhead doors
  • – Industrial roller shutters
  • – Fire shutters and doors
  • – Folding and sliding doors
  • – Steel security doors
  • – Automatic doors

Candidates must be competent engineers with proven experience in the repair and installation of various industrial door and loading bay product

  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
  • A strong team player with the ability to collaborate well with colleagues in a small team environment, while also being comfortable working independently when needed
  • Willingness to travel to and from customer sites as part of the role, sometimes at short notice, to provide on-site service and support
  • Occasional short-term working away from home will be required for specific projects or urgent tasks
  • Required to participate in a call-out rota (1 in 8 weeks), providing emergency service and support for clients.

Experience / Skills Required

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years as a Roller Shutter Engineer, with a proven track record in servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Roller Shutter doors.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work well in a small team or independently
  • Full UK driving license
  • Successful security screening is required for this role
  • Desirable Qualifications: Certifications such as DHF, IPAFCSCS/ECS, or a City & Guilds /NVQ in relevant disciplines are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is desirable
